Pour some awesomeness and the world will be awesomer. :) |
Thank you to my tita that she knew about Granton. Not sure exactly what Granton is but it’s a company tied up with Fitness First. The company provides a certificate that will enable you to enjoy a Fitness First branch for a month with unlimited services offered by the gym. It’s super cool, especially for those people like me who have been living in a sendentary lifestyle and want to finally jumpstart on a healthy one.
Why do I say cool?
Here it is. Fitness First asks for a membership fee, which roughly costs 2k (I am not really sure here, but it won’t go lower than P2000). Although this is a one-time-only payment, you still have to pay a certain amount of monthly fee, around P2700, and P2100 if they offer a discount. So in case you decide to avail a membership, you have to cash out more than P4000 to jumpstart. And this’ll be a big consideration to those who want to enroll but are hesitant if they could make the most out of going there. And you see, if you accept Granton’s offer, it’s only P1000! Whoa. Yes, the sad thing is, it’s only good for a month. BUTTTTT at least, in a month, you could at least have a “trial period” before going out there and shedding out several thousands of peso. Should you feel like Fitness First is not for you, then, it’s only P1000 spent, unlike if you shell out more than P4000, you get to say goodbye for a big amount of money.
There. That’s about it. Now let me tell how my going to the gym is going so far.
Day 1 The What-Is-It-Going-To-Be-Like Day.
Haha! I only had myself to go there and because it was my first time to enter a Fitness First gym, I was anxious how to operate the equipments there. Well, I think the biggest dilemma that day is “How do I do my exercise regime?” Well, good thing, I was assisted and was given suggestions. It’s pretty cool huh. I was told to do stretching first, run for some minutes, try some arm exercises, lift some weights, and go back to stretching again.
There were a number of television sets on the wall. I was asking, “How do you understand what’s on if there’s no sound?” I’m such a loser. Hahaha. I was told there was an attachment to the equipments so you can plug your earphones on so you can listen to the shows. Hahaha. That was cool again. :)
Some random cool stuff at Fitness First:
1. Free coffee, water, softdrinks
2. Locker room is so clean, with a television set even!
3. Shower rooms have heaters, and free soap, shampoo and conditioner too.
4. Enough number of mirrors with hair dryers/blowers attached. I SUPER LOVE IT. :)
5. Wi-fi (Me thinks) zone. There are actually some PCs so you can use the internet while maybe having a break.
6. There are also group exercises being offered. I want to try yoga (beginner) and some dance class. :D
There. To add, I also saw a former student of mine. It was only sad that she is about to finish her membership after several days. I also some of my former schoolmates in high school. One was a batchmate and the other is a batch lower. I approach my former batchmate although we weren’t close. Hahaha. There’s nothing wrong right? She wasn’t so indulging so I had to cut the conversation short. :)
Day 2 - I am Starting to Get the Hang of It
Today was my 2nd day in the gym. Again, I saw some familiar faces. Again, I approached a batchmate of mine. Her name is Bernadette. It was fun because she was very approachable and was smiling throughout the conversation. We even asked for each other’s digits and advised each other to text if one of us is going back to the gym. Awesome. Also, today was my first time to use the shower. Cooooool! :) Sad that I lost my earrings. Had that did not happen, I would have not discovered a new pair of cute white earrings, hahaha. :) If something’s taken away, a new one comes along. :) Exercising (especially when using the treadmill) gives you a “me” time. Ideas easily flow and I really really am enjoying it. Whew. Way to go!!!!
Clap clap clap. That’s it. Gonna be blogging hopefully tomorrow again. :)
